About Amy Martineau Vermillion
Amy Martineau Vermillion, Allied Member ASID, has been
practicing the art of interior design for more than 15 years. She has
a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior and Environmental Design from
Illinois State University. Her training from the FIDER (Foundation
for Interior Design Education and Research) accredited program
included emphasis on interior design, architecture and fine art.
Before moving to Charlotte in 1995, Amy worked for two prestigious
design firms on the North Shore of Chicago. Her background includes
custom furniture design, high end kitchen and bath design and full
scale residential design. Travels to Europe, the Middle East and
Egypt have offered insight and influence to her design work.
Since opening her firm, Amy Martineau Vermillion has been the creative
force on extensive renovation and interior design projects in
Charlotte and the Southeast. Vermillion has recently added aviation
interiors to her resume after designing the complete interior/exterior
for several private corporate jets. Her design will be the model for
a Challenger 605, Global 5000 and Lear 45 jet.
She approaches each endeavor with a high
degree of creativity and consideration for her clients' individual
tastes, expectations and needs. Her success is attributed to a close
designer-client relationship combined with an attention to detail and
personalized service.
Her work and expertise have been featured in the Charlotte Observer,
Southpark Magazine, Charlotte Magazine, Front Door Magazine and the
Pioneer Press in Chicago. She has also designed spaces in the
ASID/Symphony Guild Showhouse in 1997, 1999, 2000 and 2001 and was the
ASID Carolinas Chapter Association Assistant Chair for 2005-2006.
Outside of her busy design practice, Amy is an active member of the
Junior League of Charlotte, the Mint Museum and the Daniel Stowe
Botanic Garden.
Amy resides in Charlotte with her husband and their daughter.
